ISLAMABAD: National Highway Authority (NHA) has planned improvement and widening of Chitral-Garam Chashma-Doraha Pass road.
For this purpose the NHA intends to engage a consultant to carry out design review and construction supervision for 82.50 Km project. A pre-proposal conference had held during last week of April, an official of the NHA told APP on Friday.
The proposals complete in all respect in sealed envelope should reach NHA by May 15, he said adding the technical proposals shall be opened on the same day, whereas the financial proposals of only technically qualified firms shall be opened after finalization of technical evaluation.
It is worth a mentioning that Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) ECNEC approved construction of Chitral-Garam Chashma-Doraha road project in August 29, last year .
Earlier in February the NHA had invited bids for construction of 42.5 kilometer Chitral – Garam Chashma road. The section forms part of 85. 5 km Chitral – Garam Chashma -Doraha Pass.
