London: Europe's stock markets held steady at the start of trade on Friday with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index adding almost 0.1 percent to stand at 7,706.89 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 was virtually unchanged at 13,023 points, while the Paris CAC 40 receded 0.2 percent to 5,533.41 compared with the closing level on Thursday.
