9.5 kg contraband seized, 23 arrested

SARGODHA: Police have arrested 23 drug pushers and recovered narcotics and illegal weapons from them.

Police spokesman said here on Saturday that during drive against drug paddlers and criminals the teams of different police stations conducted raids and arrested 23 accused. The police also recovered 9515 grams Hashish, 63 bottles of liquor, two guns of 12 bore and six Pistols of 30 bore from them.

The arrested outlawas were identified as Rashid, Omer, Jahanzeb, Javed, Rukhsar, Amir Shahzad, Fateh Sher, Bilal, Asghar Ali, Ikraam, Ghulam Raza, Haseeb, Zulfiqar and others.

Police have registered separate cases and started investigation.
