Brace yourselves: Hot weather to grip Karachi from today

KARACHI: Hot and dry weather is likely to prevail in the next two days as the mercury may shoot beyond 40°C in the metropolis.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), several parts of Sindh including Karachi may be gripped with hot and dry weather that will likely go up till 43°C.

The intensity of hot spell will increase from today (Thursday) and it will continue for two days, media reports suggested.
After two days, the temperature in the metropolis may reduce to 36°C.

Weather forecast for Thursday:
Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, D.I.Khan divisions), FATA, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Duststorm is also expected in Multan, D.G.khan and Bahawalpur divisions. Very hot and dry weather is expected in south Punjab and Sindh.

Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Bannu, Faisalabad and Sargodha divisions.

Moenjodaro 48°C, Sibbi, Sakrand, Shaheed Benazirabad 47°C, Dadu, Turbat 46°C.
