ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Lt Gen (Retd) Abdul Qayyum has said Kashmiris only wanted their right to self-determination at every cost and demanding to resolve issue as per the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Pakistan always endorsed the stance of people of Kashmir and former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had courageously highlighted issue at international forums, including the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), he said talking to PTV.
He said India was involved in state terrorism and had killed many innocent Kashmiris and also using pellet guns. He urged international community to take notice of such atrocities and grass human rights violation in occupied valley.
Abdul Qayyum said Indian occupied forces had detained many Kashmiri leaders to suppress the freedom movement but they failed to do so.
He said Indian authorities had imposed draconian laws on innocent people of valley and demanded that these laws should be removed from Indian held Kashmir.
To a query, he said Sikh community was holding protest demonstrations against Modi government to get their basic rights in India. Indian government was making injustice with minorities including Muslims by using force and other nefarious tactics against them, he added.
