KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Monday at 24,681.67 points with a negative change of -16.54 and volume of 171,069,100 shares. High and Low were 24,830.03 and 24,619.12 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 13 were up, 17 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 248,565,870 shares. Total companies traded were 371 of which 139 were positive, 216 were negative and 16 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 96,549,400 shares. It was followed by Chemicals with a total traded volume of 34,292,170 shares.

The top three advancers were Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 340 and price per share of 2,346 (111.00), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 4,960 and price per share of 1,323 (63.00), Island Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 1,039.24 (49.48).

The top three decliners were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 8,550 (-450.00), Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 2,966 (-151.00), Indus Motor Company Limited with a volume of 47,300 and price per share of 1,803.63 (-85.02).
