KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Monday at 25,978.57 points with a positive change of 65.32 and volume of 110,807,300 shares. High and Low were 26,149.15 and 25,896.78 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 14 were up, 16 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 202,789,470 shares. Total companies traded were 378 of which 189 were positive, 168 were negative and 21 were unchanged.

Cement was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 35,450,850 shares. It was followed by Chemicals with a total traded volume of 30,158,130 shares.

The top three advancers were Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 8,400 (50.00), Island Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 838 (39.00), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 1,925 (25.01).

The top three decliners were Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 60 and price per share of 2,972.55 (-156.45), Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 80 and price per share of 3,100 (-155.00), Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 9,750 (-150.00).
