CJP gives 48 hours deadline to submit report on Jaranwala child rape

The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar took notice of rape and murder of the seven- year-old girl Mubashira in Jaranwala.
The CJP on Wednesday gave 48 hours deadline to Punjab Inspector General Police to submit a report regarding the rape and murder of the minor girl who was found dead on Sunday, local media reported.
A postmortem report had revealed that Mubashira was sexually abused and her body bore tortured marks. The little girl was then strangled. Her body which was found from a nearby field was identified by her family.
The gruesome murder sparked outrage in Faisalabad as protesters took to the streets demanding the immediate arrest of the murderer. Lawyers in the area took part in the protest and also boycotted court proceedings.
Mubshira went missing on Sunday afternoon and when she did not return her family and relatives started searching for her and later her body was recovered from a field. The minor girl has been laid to rest.
A similar incidence occurred on January when seven-year-old Zainab went missing from her relatives house. Zainab was found five days after she went missing.Medical reports revealed that she had been rape and then murdered. After a lot of investigation a suspect Imran was found guilty after which he was given a death sentence by an anti-terrorism court.
