Qayyum urges world community to take notice of Indian HR violations in IoK

ISLAMABAD: Senator Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Lt. General (Retd), Abdul Qayyum on Tuesday urged the world community to take notice of Indian massive human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IoK).

There was a need to apprise Russia, China and United Kingdom about the Indian force barbarism against innocent Kashmiris so that the countries could take the steps for resolving the lingering dispute of Kashmir between India and Pakistan, he said while talking to a private news channel.

"Homework required for taking the case of Indian HR violations to the forum of United Nations Security Council," he said.

Expressing dismay over the double standard of world powers, he said interaction of Pakistani envoys and delegation with European Parliamentarians would have positive impact on the issue of Kashmiri people struggling for their right to self-determination in IOK.

To a question he said we will take all the parties forward to express solidarity with Kashmiri people on April 6.

To another question about delimitation, he said after this process, the election commission would start preparations for general elections.
