Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik praising Pakistan team’s young lot said they possess all the same qualities that once our legends had.

Talking to media at national Stadium Karachi, Shoaib Malik said,” I can’t identify a single one among them, they are all good on their respective fields. They often reminds me of former cricketers that I have played with them in past.”

“As you can see Shadab, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar, Nawaz and Hasan they all have burst on to the scene, they all posses same qualities like our legends had and credit goes to PCB for keep giving them opportunities to showcase their skills,” former captain of Pakistan added.

Commenting on West Indies squad Malik said, “I have played Crabain Premier League (CPL) with players picked by West Indies cricket board for Pakistan tour and they all have performed well in the league, can’t be complacent against them.”

“The problem is here in our country, people look for big names, big names cannot win matches, team unity is required to win matches,” he added.

While giving his views on foreign players who visited Pakistan for the PSL, the all-rounder said, "Our people really love and respect overseas cricketers as we've seen when they came to Pakistan for PSL. I've read the overseas cricketers messages and all of them seem to say they're yet to see such hospitality in their whole careers like they saw in Pakistan.”

Being the only player who has the experience of playing an international match here in Karachi, Malik said being the senior it is his responsibility to perform up to the mark as compare to youngsters.

“Performing is not the only responsibility senior should be focusing, it is his responsibility to groom juniors and help them to adopt the different conditions,” Malik added.

Shoaib Malik said, "cricket at home in Pakistan is something our people and cricketers miss. PSL final was a big event in Karachi and it's good that another big event which is the West Indies series is going to happen."

Karachi is the biggest city of Pakistan and it is the economical hub of the country, and playing here was always a pleasure. The credit goes to the Sindh Government, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) for organizing such tournament here at the metropolis, Malik said praising  all the organizers of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

It is worth to mention here that West Indies will be arriving in Pakistan by Saturday to play three-match Twenty 20 International (T20I) series starting from April 1.
