NAWABSHAH: Nawabshah remained the hottest city in Pakistan on Thursday where mercury touched 45 degree mark while the city and its suburbs remained in the grip of severe hot winds with the start of summer season.
Nawabshah traditionally faces highest temperature up to 50 degrees Celsius during the summer however it was recorded 45 degrees Celsius just at advent of the season.
People find no relief but to remain indoors or visit cold drinks and ice cream shops.
Health experts have advised to increase intake of water and avoid children to roam under open sun.
Prof Dr. Saleem Faiz has advised to cover head prior to coming in open.
He said that in case of heat stroke shift the patient to some cold place with adequate use of water and juice. Prof Saleem has also advised to avoid use of cut fruit and sub standard cold drinks.
