BUCHAREST: Romania's current account deficit is deepening, boosting weakening pressures on the leu currency, central bank Governor Mugur Isarescu said on Thursday, "a further argument" for monetary policy tightening.
Isarescu said that trying to move the unit in the opposite direction than fundamentals and foreign perception would be unsustainable.
