SIALKOT: The Punjab government has decided to install CCTV cameras at 43 wheat procurement centers to ensure the transparency in Gujranwala division.
According to official sources, CCTV cameras will be istalled at the centres, set up in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.
The government will also depute the data entry operators at the centres, besides, providing android mobile phones to inchargs of these centers.
The sources added that online data of wheat sellers would be sent to the Punjab government on daily basis, while senior officials would monitor the process of wheat procurement through the CCTV cameras which would be linked with the online system.
