Protection Against Harassment of Women: Zardari names Yasmin as Ombudsperson
President Asif Ali Zardari has appointed former justice Yasmin Abbasey as Ombudsperson of "Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act 2010," it is learnt. Ministry of Law and Justice issued notification for the appointment of former justice Yasmin Abbasey on March 14.
According to a copy of notification exclusively available with Business Recorder, "No F.8(15)/2010-A.I, The President has been pleased to appoint former justice Yasmin Abbasey as Ombudsperson under Section 7(1) of the "Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act 2010" equal to pay, perks and privileges of the Judge of High Court for a period of four years vide President's Secretariat (Public)'s u.o. No 7(240)/DG(C)/2013, dated 14th March, 2013."
