23rd March important day in our history: Mayor

KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar on Friday said that 23 March is the important and bight day of our history.

We have to perform our duty for the development of the megacity with zeal.

He said this while paying visit to Mazar-e-Qauid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and laid flowers on the grave on behalf of the Karachities.

Mayor said that according to the ideology of Quaid-e-Azam we should forget our petty differences and to play our due role for the progress and development of the country.

He recalled that the freedom movement of Pakistan was initiated after the 23rd March 1940. Talking about PSL Final Match, he said it is a great achievement for Pakistan, especially for Karachi.

Now betterment has started in the megacity, the Mayor said.
