SARGODHA: The nation celebrated Pakistan Day here Friday with renewed commitment to work hard for the progress, prosperity and stability of the country.
Special prayers were offered in mosques after Fajr prayers for the progress, prosperity and solidarity of the country.
The main ceremony was held at company Bagh Sargodha, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, MNAs, MPAs, notables and a large number of people participated the ceremony, Commissioner Sargodha aslo hosted Pakistan flag on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony Commissioner said," The day marks adoption of historic Lahore Resolution this day in 1940 that provided a framework for realisation of the goal of a separate homeland for the Muslims of South Asia".
A graceful Pakistan-Day ceremony was also arranged at Government Degree College for Women Farooq Colony, while District Bar Association Sargodha, Insaf Foundation and other organisations had arranged separate ceremonies to commemorate the Pakistan Day.
