HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks ended the morning sharply lower Friday as global markets were hammered by fears of a trade war after Donald Trump imposed sanctions on billions of dollars worth of Chinese goods.
The Hang Seng Index fell 2.81 percent, or 872.04 points, to 30,199.01 by the break.
