COLOMBO: Sri Lankan shares closed lower on Friday, dragged by financials stocks.
The CSE All-Share index settled 0.6 percent lower at 20,142.33 points. Hatton National Bank PLC and LOLC Holdings PLC were among the biggest drags on the index, down 1.3 percent and 3.7 percent, respectively, on the day. Trading volume on the index fell to 48.6 million shares from 117.4 million shares in the previous session.
