NEW DELHI: QatarEnergy has issued a spot tender offering up to 50,000 metric tons of naphtha on a free-on-board basis from Ras Laffan port inside the Strait of Hormuz, multiple traders who participate in the market said on Thursday.

The cargo is scheduled to load between October 20 and 25.

Bidders can submit quotes by 1100 GMT on Thursday.

The state-owned refiner’s last naphtha tender was awarded at a discount of $150 to Middle East quotes on FOB basis, one of the naphtha traders who deals with them, said.

Oil companies typically do not comment on tenders.
