LAHORE: Philip Morris Pakistan Limited (PMPKL), in collaboration with Hashoo Hunar Association (HHA), has successfully completed the construction of a 30,700-litre water storage tank in Rigayul, Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan.

The water-tank was built to strengthen water security, enhance water access for local families, and support healthier, more resilient communities by ensuring a dependable supply of water for everyday needs.

This initiative reflects PMPKL’s ongoing commitment to making a positive and lasting contribution to the communities where it operates.

The water storage facility is expected to directly benefit 100 households and contribute to improved water security in the wider community. By enhancing local water storage capacity, the project will help address challenges related to water availability and support everyday domestic needs, including household use and kitchen gardening.

“Access to reliable water is fundamental to community well-being and sustainable development. Through partnerships with experienced local organizations, we aim to support initiatives that address community needs and create lasting positive impact. We are pleased to contribute to this effort in Skardu and support improved water access for local residents,” said Ali Takesh, Managing Director, PMPKL.
