HYDERABAD: The University of Sindh, Jamshoro, has successfully completed the first phase of the pre-entry test for admission to Bachelor’s Degree Programmes for the new academic year 2027.
A total of 8,676 male and female candidates from various districts of Sindh appeared in the first phase of the test, choosing the University of Sindh for their bright future.
Comprehensive arrangements were made for the convenience of the candidates, along with strict security measures at the test venues. A press briefing was also organised at the Institute of Arts and Design, where Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari briefed the print and electronic media about the test arrangements, the number of candidates, measures taken to improve the University’s academic standards and future strategies.
Addressing the media, the Vice Chancellor welcomed all candidates who had come to appear in the test and said that the increasing number of candidates seeking admission every year was proof of the trust placed in the University by them and their parents. He said that the University of Sindh was an excellent choice for candidates, as it was providing quality education in important fields at very low fees, along with hostel accommodation and transport facilities. He said that the University offered ample opportunities for scholarships on the basis of need and merit, from which thousands of students were benefiting.
The Vice Chancellor informed the journalists that a total of 22,511 candidates had applied online for both phases of the test, including 16,237 male and 6,274 female candidates. He said that a total of 8,676 candidates were appearing in the first phase, including 6,857 male and 1,819 female candidates.
The Vice Chancellor said that the entire test process was computerised and that the system would prepare the results according to the papers attempted by the candidates, leaving no room whatsoever for injustice. He said that candidates appearing in the test and their parents should have complete confidence that the entire admission process was based on complete transparency and merit, and that every candidate would be granted admission strictly according to the merit achieved.
The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts and commitment of the conveners of various committees formed for the pre-entry test arrangements and said that the successful completion of the first phase of the test was the result of joint teamwork.
