- Other streaming services' slow entry into Pakistan.
Eleven years after its worldwide debut, Apple Music has finally made its way to Pakistan.
Apple Music is American technology company Apple’s music-streaming service, which offers access to a large catalogue of songs, albums and playlists.
Apple updated its ‘Availability of Apple Media Services’ page, officially confirming the launch of Apple Music in Pakistan.
More than 100 countries were included in the service’s initial deployment when it was launched worldwide in 2015.

The Apple Music app now offers subscription pricing for Pakistani consumers. The monthly cost of an individual account, which provides one person with limitless music, is Rs 379. The Family plan, which covers many users, costs Rs649 a month for families. Both plans include a one-month free trial before transitioning to an automatic monthly subscription.
It’s not the first time a big streaming service has been slow to arrive in Pakistan. It took 13 years for Spotify, which debuted in 2008, to reach Pakistan till 2021. Spotify is also a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs.
Apple is paying more attention to Pakistan due to its substantial and growing digital market, with 117 million internet users by late 2025 and strong demand for iPhones. The Pakistani government is actively encouraging global tech companies to invest, establish local manufacturing, and participate in its digital economy.
This increased engagement is also evidenced by Apple appointing its first head of government affairs for Pakistan and expanding services like Apple TV and Apple Arcade to iCloud+ subscribers at no extra cost as well as launching Apple Music. This signals a move towards a deeper and more formal presence beyond just product sales.
