HAMBURG: Tunisian state agency ONF has issued an international tender to purchase around 79,500 metric tons of animal feed corn, European traders said on Friday.

The grain can be sourced from optional origins.

The deadline for submission of price offers is also Friday, August 21, they said.

The corn is sought in three consignments with shipment between September 15 and October 25 depending on origin supplied.

Traders said that in the tender announcement, Tunisia repeated previous warnings that grains bought are optional origins.

This meant that for sellers of Black Sea grains, the supplier may not invoke force majeure under any circumstances because of the current conflict and must source grains from other alternative origins, the announcement said.
