Murree Brewery, Systems Limited, Sazgar make it to Forbes 'Asia’s Best Under A Billion' list

Three Pakistani companies - Murree Brewery, Systems Limited and Sazgar Engineering Works - have been included in the Forbes ‘Asia’s Best Under A Billion’ 2026 list.
“The small and midsized companies appearing on Forbes Asia’s Best Under A Billion list are successfully navigating the challenges of geopolitical tensions and volatile energy markets,” said Forbes.
“These 200 publicly listed Asia-Pacific companies, with sales above $10 million and below $1 billion, delivered strong financial metrics,” it added.
As per Forbes, Murree Brewery Company Limited saw it net sales clock in at $102 million, with a market value of $92 million.
The company was established in 1861 as a public limited company, predating the subcontinent partition. The company’s principal activity involves the manufacturing and sale of a diverse range of products, including alcoholic beer among others.
Systems Limited reported sales of $286 million, while its market value stood at $759 million, said Forbes.
Systems’ primary activities include the development and trading of software, as well as providing business process outsourcing services. The company helps its clients with their digital transformation journeys. Besides its significant presence in the local market, the company also has a strong international footprint in regions such as the US, UK, EU, and the Middle East.
Meanwhile, Sazgar Engineering Works saw sales of $389 million and a net income of $58 million, reported Forbes.
Sazgar Engineering Works Limited was established in Pakistan as a private limited company in 1991, later becoming a public limited company in 1994.
The company’s primary business involves manufacturing and selling automobiles, automotive parts and accessories, and household electronic appliances. Its manufacturing plants are located in Lahore.
The company has significantly diversified its business by entering the four-wheeler market, partnering with Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor to manufacture and assemble Haval SUVs in Pakistan.
In July 2022, Sazgar completed the manufacturing facilities for Haval SUVs and rolled out its first batch of locally assembled Haval units, the H6 1.5T and 2.0T, in August 2022.
