Korea’s Bankware Global secures Rs1.6bn software supply contract in Pakistan

  • The PPOD is actively pursuing modernisation and the integration of advanced technology

Bankware Global, a South Korean core-banking software and fintech company headquartered in Seoul, has secured a 7.98 billion won (PKR 1.57 billion) contract to build a system and supply software for the Pakistan Post Office Department.

Bankware Global shared the development in a notice to the Korean Exchange on Tuesday.

“The project contract runs between August 7, 2026, and March 6, 2028, and is equivalent to 12.6% of its 2025 total sales. It will be carried out through a joint venture,” the company shared in its notice.

The Pakistan Post Office Department (PPOD) is a foundational institution for communication and financial inclusion across the country, operating a network of around 13,000 post offices. It provides various services including domestic and international mail, remittance solutions, utility bill collections, and CNIC renewals.

The PPOD is actively pursuing modernisation and the integration of advanced technology.

Bankware said that the payment terms include a 20% advance, with the remaining 80% to be paid in stages based on implementation, the inspection schedule for each sector, and the start of operations and maintenance.

Founded over 17 years ago, Bankware Global provides component-driven, cloud-native core banking platforms, financial ERP, card processing, and SaaS banking solutions to major financial institutions across Asia.
