LAHORE: The Spot Rate Committee of the Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) on Tuesday increased the Spot rate by Rs 2,00 per maund and closed it at Rs 18,000 per maund.
Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman told Business Recorder that the local cotton market remained tight and the trading volume remained satisfactory.
He also told Business Recorder that the rate of cotton in Sindh is in between Rs17,900 to Rs 18,000 per maund ,while Phutti in the province is trading between Rs 8,600 to Rs 9,200 per 40 kilograms. In Punjab, cotton rates stand between Rs18,500 to Rs 18,600 per maund, with Phutti fetching between Rs 8,800 to Rs 9,300 per 40 kilograms.
The rate of cotton in Balochistan is in between Rs 17,900 to Rs 18,000 per maund while the rate of Phutti is in between Rs 9,000 to Rs 9,300 per maund
Around, 1200 bales of Tando Adam, 800 bales of Sanghar, 200 bales of Hala were sold at Rs 18, 0000 per maund, 800 bales of Shahdad Pur were sold in between were sold in between Rs 17,950 to Rs 18,000 per maund, 600 bales of Shah Pur Chakar were sold in between Rs 17,950 to Rs 18, 000 per maund, 600 bales of Nawab Shah were sold in between Rs 17,900 to Rs 18,000 per maund, 200 bales of Khanewal were sold at Rs 18,600 per maund, 1400 bales of Vehari were sold in between Rs 18,200 to Rs 18, 450 per maund, 600 bales of Chichawatni were sold in between Rs 18,200 to Rs 18,400 per maund, 600 bales of Mian Chanu were sold in between Rs 18, 200 to Rs 18, 400 per maund, 1400 bales of Haroonabad, 200 bales of Layyah were sold at Rs 18,300 per maund, 400 bales of Hasil Pur were sold in between Rs 18,150 to Rs 18,250 per maund, 400 bales of Burewala were sold in between Rs 18,150 to Rs 18,200 per maund, 400 bales of Rajan Pur, 200 bales of Jhang were sold at Rs 18, 200 per maund and 800 bales of Winder were sold at Rs 17,900 per maund.
