At least five more terrorists were killed in the latest ground and aerial strikes as a joint operation by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and police, under Operation Shaban, against terrorists continued in Balochistan, state media PTV reported on Monday citing security sources.
The security sources said intelligence-based operations are being carried out against terrorist hideouts across the province, with forces continuously targeting members of Fitna al-Khawarij alias Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The latest operations have raised the number of terrorists killed in Operation Shaban alone to 76, the sources said.
They added that since the launch of Operation Shaban on July 5, and in other intelligence-based operations conducted alongside it, a total of 114 terrorists have been killed.
Security sources said operations against terrorists in Balochistan would continue unabated until terrorism is completely eradicated, adding that security forces are carrying out coordinated ground and aerial operations to eliminate terrorist safe havens across the province.
A day ago, security forces killed three other terrorists during the operation.
