Security forces have killed three more terrorists during the ongoing joint Operation Shaban in Balochistan, taking the total number of terrorists killed in the operation to 67, state media PTV reported citing security sources.
The operation, being jointly conducted by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, and police, involves both aerial and ground actions against terrorists in the province.
Security sources said that a total of 105 terrorists have been killed in Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the area since July 5. They added that the operation would continue until the “last terrorist is eliminated.”
The Ministry of Interior on Sunday confirmed that more militants had been killed in the ongoing Operation Shaban in Balochistan, as Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their successes in the operation.
In a statement, the interior minister paid tribute to the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, and police personnel participating in the operation, saying their joint actions reflected the state’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security.
Naqvi commended the bravery and professionalism of the officers and soldiers involved in the operation, reiterating that there was “no place for terrorists on Pakistan’s soil.”
He said the nation stood shoulder to shoulder with its security forces and remained determined to completely eradicate terrorism.
“The operations against terrorists are continuing with full force and will continue until the menace is eliminated,” the interior minister said.
