LAHORE: The Punjab government has initiated the export of certified skilled workforce under the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s visionary “Parwaaz Card” programme, the lives of 500,000 young people across Punjab are expected to be transformed.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a farewell meeting with young individuals who successfully completed training under the Parwaaz Card programme and are set to proceed abroad for employment opportunities. The participants of the programme paid a standing tribute to the Chief Minister in recognition of her outstanding initiatives. A total of 135 young men from across Punjab, selected under the Parwaaz Card programme, attended the ceremony.

Addressing the participants during the farewell meeting, the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif engaged in an emotional conversation and remarked that she was bidding them farewell with prayers, just as a mother would.

The Chief Minister was given a detailed briefing on the Parwaaz Card and Skill City projects. During the briefing, it was stated that the selection process for all candidates under the programme had been conducted on the basis of 100 per cent merit. It was further informed that candidates selected in the first phase would be employed abroad in the hospitality and construction sectors.

Successful candidates of the Parwaaz Card programme presented souvenirs to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. They also presented portraits of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

One successful candidate stated that he had been working two jobs to support his household expenses, yet his income remained insufficient to meet the family’s needs.

Shah Nawaz, hailing from Gilgit-Baltistan, expressed his gratitude upon receiving the Parwaaz Card and said that he sincerely thanked Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for enabling young people to stand on their own feet and access international employment opportunities.

Another successful candidate said that since Maryam Nawaz Sharif assumed office as Chief Minister of Punjab, unprecedented initiatives and record development opportunities had been introduced for the youth. He added that young people were highly satisfied and encouraged by the opportunities created under her leadership.
