LAHORE: The local cotton market on Saturday remained steady and the trading volume remained low.
Speaking to Business Recorder, cotton analyst Naseem Usman stated that the cotton prices in Sindh currently is in between Rs18,500 to Rs 18,800
per maund, while Phutti in the province is trading between Rs8,800 and Rs9,400 per 40 kilograms. In Punjab, cotton rates stand between Rs19,000 to Rs 19, 500 per maund, with Phutti fetching between Rs9,000 to Rs 10,000 per 40 kilograms.
Around, 2200 bales of Tando Adam were sold at Rs 18,500 per maund, 200 bales of Shahdad Pur were sold at Rs 18,800 per maund and 800 bales of Vehari were sold in between Rs 19, 000 to Rs 19, 500 per maund.
The Spot Rate remained unchanged at Rs 19,000 per maund.
