ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi at Zardari House on Thursday, where they discussed the political and administrative situation in the province.
During the meeting, Governor Kundi briefed the PPP chairman on the public issues being faced by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He highlighted that citizens were facing difficulties due to problems in wheat supply in the province.
Bilawal Bhutto directed the governor to play an active role in resolving the wheat supply issue in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and instructed him to ensure that he is informed immediately once the matter is resolved.
The Governor further informed the PPP chairman that efforts had been made to address the gas supply issue in the province by taking all political parties on board. He added that due to improved gas supply continuity, the closure of CNG stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had now been ended.
Both leaders also discussed broader political matters and agreed that all political parties should play a collective role in addressing the issues and rights of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Later, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held separate meetings at Zardari House on Thursday with key political and organizational figures, discussing public welfare initiatives, political matters, and constituency issues.
In the first meeting, Bilawal Bhutto met Chairman of the Red Crescent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan Red Crescent Society, Farzand Wazir, who briefed him on relief assistance programs in the province. He informed that financial aid of Rs 45,000 per family was being distributed in Dir, Swat, and Buner, while a separate plan was underway to provide Rs 38,000 per family to deserving beneficiaries in Khyber district.
In a second meeting, the PPP chairman met former Minister of State and PPP leader from Muzaffargarh, MehrIrshadSial. During the meeting, they discussed the prevailing political and organizational situation as well as public issues in the constituency.
