HAMBURG: South Korean feedmaker Nonghyup Feed Inc. (NOFI) has issued an international tender to purchase up to 138,000 metric tons of animal feed corn and 65,000 tons of feed wheat, European traders said on Tuesday.

The deadline for submission of price offers in the tender is also Tuesday, May 19.

The corn is sought for arrival in South Korea in two consignments of 45,000 tons to 69,000 tons, and the wheat in one consignment of 50,000 to 65,000 tons.

Shipment of the first corn consignment for arrival around September 25 is sought if sourced from the US Pacific Northwest coast between August 17 and September 5, from the US Gulf between July 28 and August 16, from South America between July 23 and August 11 or from South Africa between August 7 and August 26.

Shipment of the second consignment for arrival around October 5 is from the US Pacific Northwest coast between August 27 and September 15, if from the US Gulf between August 7 and August 26, from South America between August 2 and August 21 or from South Africa between August 17 and September 5.

The feed wheat is sought for arrival around September 10.

South Korea’s MFG, partner CAPI tender for up to 70,000 tons corn, traders say

It can be sourced from worldwide origins excluding Argentina, Russia, Pakistan, Denmark and China.

The wheat shipment is from the US Pacific Northwest coast, Australia or Canada between August 2 and August 21, from the US Gulf between July 13 and August 1, from Europe between July 18 and August 6, from Europe with shipment via the Cape of Good Hope between June 28 and July 17, from South America between July 8 and July 27 or from South Africa between July 23 and August 11.

Corn and wheat price offers are sought both outright per ton and at a premium over the Chicago September corn contract or September wheat contract.
