“The principle is the same, the culture is different.”

“I get it and so the manifestation is different. But both Iran and the US are displaying a level of how shall I put it….”

“Don’t ruffle any feathers my friend. I would merely say they find the other’s proposal for peace unacceptable.”

“Do you think if they reduce the number of points….”

“Don’t be facetious – it’s not about points.”

“I reckon President Trump likes numbers – the twelve-day war, the fourteen points proposal then there were…”

“Then there were none.”

“Hamm anyway that’s not characteristic of the peace loving President Trump. He doesn’t like details — I imagine a one sentence agreement would do fine…”

“What? That we the Iranians capitulate even though there was a stalemate at worst before the ceasefire and after and we are winning at….”

“Yep that’s it, I reckon point 2 to 14 points were courtesy Netanyahu.”

“Right, anyway when I said the principle is the same I was referring to the principle of ensuring that your much loved daughter’s in-laws are kept happy. See that’s kinda tricky…”

“Yep those feathers can ruffle pretty quickly whatever the culture.”

“See I disagree there, President Trump’s son-in-law is the one calling the shots – here it is the father-in-law Ishaq Dar calling the shots.”

“But Jared Kushner’s dad is the US Ambassador to France….”

“So all bases covered. But Dar’s son does not hold any position so….”

“I reckon he is paying his dad back for the millions of US dollars’ worth of qarze-husna (interest free loan)…”

“What about Federal Board of Revenue’s focus on deemed taxes. Shouldn’t there have been a tax on deemed loan’s interest….”

“Not while the Sharifs are in power. But you know I thought qarze-husna is for welfare purposes.”

“It was for the welfare of his son for Pete’s sake.”

“Right so did the

Trump family give a qarze-husna to the Kushner family?”

“No but Kushners did access a lot of money from the Gulf countries….”

“That’s because that family is good in business. Dar sahib is an accountant so don’t you think the principle is the same the difference is not cultural, but the business acumen of the daughter’s in-laws?”

“I stand corrected.”
