Future spreads expand

KARACHI: The futures spread improved to 6.59 percent from -151.44 percent, marking a significant positive shift of 15,804 basis points, indicating normalization in forward pricing dynamics.

Meanwhile, the futures market recorded a sharper contraction, with average daily traded volume falling by 58.7 percent to 189.38 million shares, compared to 458.70 million shares in the previous week.

Futures turnover declined by 60.7 percent to Rs8.84 billion, down from Rs22.50 billion.
