Sri Lankan shares end flat as healthcare, energy losses offset gains

Sri Lankan shares closed largely unchanged on Tuesday, as losses in healthcare and energy stocks countered gains in utilities and IT.
The CSE All Share index settled up 0.03% at 22,620.15.
Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC and SMB Finance PLC were the top percentage gainers on the CSE All Share index, rising 25% and 12.5%, respectively.
Beruwala Resorts PLC and Eastern Merchants PLC were the top percentage losers on the CSE All Share index, falling 2.9% and 2.6%, respectively.
Trading volumes on the CSE All Share index fell to 127.9 million shares from 141.6 million in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover rose to 3.1 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($9.72 million) from 2.97 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 244.5 billion rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 2.89 billion rupees, data showed.
