LAHORE: MG Motor Pakistan has unveiled the All-New MG HS at its Lahore facility, introducing two new hybrid variants as the company makes its most significant technological leap since entering the Pakistani market.

The new line-up comprises the HS Hybrid+, priced at PKR 9,499,000, and the Super Hybrid plug-in variant at PKR 10,199,000. The HS Hybrid+ features an electric motor 40 percent more powerful than its petrol engine, promising a smoother, EV-like driving experience. The Super Hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, offers up to 135 kilometres of electric-only range, catering to urban drivers seeking a predominantly battery-powered lifestyle.

CEO Jianqiang Shao said the launch was a continuation of MG’s mission to lead Pakistan’s New Energy Vehicle transition, which the company has championed since 2020. Chairman Faisal Afridi added that further models, ranging from hatchbacks to sedans, are planned in partnership with SAIC, with exports also on the horizon.
