KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 183,352 tonnes of Cargo Comprising 125,650 tonnes of Import Cargo and 57,702 tonnes of Export Cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 125,650 tonnes Comprised of 39,380 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 9,438 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 11,360 tonnes of Rock Phosphate, 7,272 tonnes of Soya Beans Seeds & 58,200 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 57,702 tonnes Comprised of 47,882 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 478 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 3,300 tonnes of Clinkers,358 tonnes of Rice & 5,684 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 06 ships, namely, Hua Chuang 66, Montok, M.T Lahore, Marine Ista, Hai Jin & Hong Yong Chang Sheng berthed at Karachi the Port Trust.
Approximately, 04 ships namely, Eva Gold, Hafnia Heriette, Zhong Gu Kun Ming & Kota Primrose sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ships, Chemroute Pegasus, Propel Fortune and Lofty Mountain are expected to sail on Monday.
Cargo volume of 93,776 tones comprising 71,897 tones imports cargo and 21,879 export cargo carried in 2,241 Containers (954 TEUs Imports & 1,287 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 5 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them a bulk cargo carrier ‘New Galaxy’ & three more ships, Young Glory, Zhong Gu Kun Ming and Hong Young Chang Sheng carrying Coal and Container expected to take berths MW-4, PIBT and QICT respectively on Monday 20thApril, 2026.
