PARTLY FACETIOUS: How many times did Vance admit he called people in the US?
“The question is: was the US Vice President ignorant or knowledgeable when he said he reckoned the Iranian sitting opposite him in Islamabad was the one who was running affairs in Iran?”
“That depends, my friend.”
“Hey it’s a tick the right box question and there are only two boxes.”
“When you are asking a question relating to an ambitious politician the box you tick will depend on his or her politics back home.”
“I don’t get you.”
“OK so let me ask you a question: how many times did the Vice President admit he called people in the US, though he did not say he talked to the Israeli Prime Minister, but many Americans on alternate media say he even talked to the Israeli Prime Minister?”
“He said six to a dozen calls to the US President, plus to Secretary of State Rubio and the Treasury Secretary Bessent.”
“And reportedly, the Iranians never talked to anyone back in Iran right!”
“Gotcha, it was a matter of empowerment.”
“Yep so the Vice President by his statement that the man sitting opposite him was the one running Iran was perhaps indicating that he did not have to revert to Iran to negotiate.”
“But the composition of the US delegation….”
“Hey be realistic. If Kushner, family, and Witkoff, friend, were not sent to Islamabad in deference to what was being circulated in the media that the Iranians did not trust them then I ask you….”
“Hmmm I get you but don’t you think that Ishaq Dar who was promoted to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister should have gone to Iran with the Field Marshall….”
“No, the government was represented by the Interior Minister, while Dar was with Shehbaz Sharif.”
“There you go, family is important, and can be trusted and…”
“And that’s how the cookie crumbles.”
“Is it a chocolate chip cookie or a lemon cream filled one and if it’s not the former then I don’t want it.”
“And that is why you will never make it in politics.”
