Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Wednesday, aided by gains across sectors.
The CSE All Share index settled up 0.6% at 22,261.48.
Hikkaduwa Beach Resort PLC and Hunter & Company PLC were the top percentage gainers on the CSE All Share index, rising 19.6% and 8.6%, respectively.
Trading volume on the CSE All Share index fell to 188 million shares from 261.7 million in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover fell to 3.05 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($9.67 million) from 5.02 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 172.4 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 3 billion rupees, the data showed.
