ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s foreign ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi declined to confirm or deny the reports circulating in the Western media that Pakistan has proposed a framework to end the ongoing US-Israel war on Iran.

“There have been several reports of a 45-day ceasefire offer, or 15-point exchange,” Andrabi said. “We do not comment on these individual, specific incidents. Our point is that the peace process is ongoing,” Andrabi added.

Pakistan’s attempt is being views as the last-ditch effort to prevent a dramatic escalation in the war that will include massive strikes on Iranian civilian/ power infrastructure and retaliation against energy and water facilities in all regional countries. This diplomatic roadmap, was a collaborative effort between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt, reached during their meeting in Islamabad on March 29. Later the Pakistani Foreign Minister visited China and reportedly shared details of the roadmap with his Chinese counterpart leading to the announcement of a five-point peace initiative.

However, Pakistan has taken a guarded stance regarding its specific role in the mediation and has not verified the existence of the framework or the specific points being discussed.
