FAISALABAD: Farooq Yousaf Sheikh, President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) has thanked Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs for starting direct Hajj flights from Faisalabad to holy lands.
He said that the Federal Minister during his visit to FCCI and on our demand had assured us to start direct hajj flights from Faisalabad from the current hajj season.
He said that the Federal Minister has honoured his commitment and the first scheduled direct hajj flight would take off from Faisalabad international airport from April, 19, 2026. He said that this decision would facilitate the “Guests of Allah” from this region to travel to Saudi Arabia without any hassle from their own city. He said that it is encouraging that these would be the real direct flights and intending pilgrims would not have to change airplanes from Karachi.
He said that FCCI was seriously trying its optimum best to facilitate the people of Faisalabad in addition to resolving the issues confronted by the business community. He said that he would himself see-off the first batch of this flight along with his Executive Members.
Meanwhile Naveed Akram Sheikh, Senior Vice President and Engr. Asim Munir, Vice President has also thanked the Federal Minister and assured that the business community of Faisalabad would try to provide maximum facilities to the intending pilgrims by providing them maximum facilities.
