Sri Lankan shares close lower as broad losses weigh

Sri Lankan shares closed lower on Thursday, weighed down by losses across most sectors.
The CSE All-Share index closed 2.1% down at 21,419.94, snapping two sessions of gains.
Paragon Ceylon PLC and Fortress Resorts PLC were the biggest losers on the CSE All-Share index, falling 8.9% and 8.7%, respectively.
Trading volume fell to 176.3 million shares from 299.7 million in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover fell to 3.27 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($10.4 million), compared with 6.42 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 56.8 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 3.21 billion rupees, data showed.
