FAISALABAD: Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar, while addressing the national flag hoisting ceremony on the occasion of Pakistan Day, said that Pakistan will move forward, we will increase its glory, and the world will see its flight. The ceremony held at the DC Complex was attended by Deputy Commissioner Capt Nadeem Nasir (Retd), officers of the divisional and district administration and members of civil society.
The Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and other officers hoisted the national flag. A well-dressed contingent of Punjab Police presented a salute and the national anthem was sung to the tunes of the band. On this occasion, special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of the country and the nation, peace and security, and national unity, while Fateha was offered for the martyrs of the Pakistan Movement.
The Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner congratulated the countrymen on Pakistan Day and said that March 23 is celebrated as the cornerstone of the identity of the nation. This day reflects the spirit of unity, faith, and discipline.
