ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Thursday notified a 2.2171 percent increase in the price of Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) for sales at the distribution stage by the two gas utilities for the current month, mainly due to the ongoing Israel & US war against Iran.
The increase in RLNG prices was made due to an increase in DES price, import-related cost, and terminal charges, etc., said the OGRA.
The price has been calculated based on two RLNG cargoesthat arrived under a long-term agreement with Qatar.
According to the notification, the RLNG’s sale price for SNGPL at the transmission stage went up to 12.4913 per million British thermal unit (mmBtu) in March from USD 10.4686 mmBtu in February 2026.

The sale price at the distribution stage for SNGPL was, thus, increased to USD 13.5516 per mmBtu for March from USD 11.3345 per mmBtu in February.
On the other hand, the RLNG sale price for the SSGCL has been increased at the transmission stage to USD 11.0169 per mmBtu for March against USD 9.0301 per mmBtu in February.
The sale price at the distribution stage for the company was also increased to USD 12.5354 per mmBtu for March against USD 10.2704 per mmBtu in February.
