Rs456bn below target: Jul-Feb provisional collection totals Rs8.094trn
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has provisionally collected Rs8,094 billion during the first eight months (July-February) of the current fiscal year (2025-26) against the assigned target of Rs 8,550 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs456 billion.
This figure of tax collection is related to the period of first 27 days of February 2026 and final figures would be available on Saturday as all field formations would remain open on Saturday (Feb 28).
The monthly data revealed that the FBR has provisionally collected Rs918 billion during February 2026 (first 27 days) against target of Rs1,029 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs111 billion.

The tax collection would further increase on the compilation of final figures on the last day of February (today).
The monthly collection is expected to reach Rs950 billion by the end of February 2026.
For facilitation of the taxpayers, FBR has directed that all Large Taxpayers’ Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayers’ Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) shall remain open on Saturday, the 28th February, 2026. These offices will observe 28th February, 2026 as normal working day for collection of duties and taxes.
