Terrorist attacks in Balochistan: India’s statement vindicates Pakistan’s stance: FO
ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office said on Thursday that India’s statement on the recent terrorist attacks carried out in Balochistan vindicates Islamabad’s stance that New Delhi continues to aid and abet terrorism in Pakistan.
Speaking at the weekly press briefing, the spokesperson for the Foreign Office, Tahir Andrabi, said that Pakistan completely rejects India’s statement. He added that India’s statement shows that it continues to aid and abet terrorism in Pakistan through its support for the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Fitna Al Hind, and other terrorist organizations in the region.
“We possess concrete evidence of India’s involvement in sponsoring and abetting terrorism.
New Delhi’s statements provide an additional evidence, circumstantial evidence, of India’s complicity in promoting terrorism in Pakistan,” he noted. Responding to a question, the spokesperson said it has been 19 years since the horrific terrorist attack on Lahore-bound Samjhauta Express train on India’s soil on 18 February 2007 in which 68 innocent passengers, including 44 Pakistani nationals, lost their lives.
“We express our severe disappointment at Indian Government’s callousness towards the plight of the families of the Pakistani nationals who await justice even after the passage of nineteen years. This callous response confirms India’s role as an official and political accomplice in the heinous terrorist attack carried out on its soil against innocent civilians—Pakistanis and others alike.”
He said that Pakistan condemns the shameless acquittal and exoneration of all four perpetrators, and demands a fair trial for bringing the perpetrators and abettors of Samjhauta Express terrorist attack to justice.
