ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday assured Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah of full federal support for the timely completion of development projects in Karachi.
He instructed relevant ministries to work closely with the provincial government to expedite public welfare programmes.
The prime minister’s assurance followed a detailed briefing by Chief Minister Shah on the status of various development initiatives in Sindh, with particular focus on ongoing projects in the port city.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif emphasised the crucial role of cooperation among coalition partners in the federal government, noting that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) remains a key ally. He stressed that mutual collaboration between coalition parties would enhance the nation’s development efforts.

Sharif further stated that alignment and consultation among the allied parties are vital for ensuring national stability and continuity in policy-making.
He also commended the leadership of Sindh within the coalition, asserting that stronger ties between the federal and provincial governments would bolster the democratic system and improve the resolution of public issues.
The meeting also covered political affairs in Sindh and other issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Azam Nazeer Tarar and Ahsan Iqbal, and Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah.
