HYDERABAD: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for public rights without discrimination.
Speaking to the media at the MQM Zonal Office here, he emphasised that resolving public issues and providing relief to citizens requires collective consultation with all political stakeholders.
He said that Hyderabad, being the second-largest city of Sindh, must be given priority on an equal and non-discriminatory basis, particularly in addressing critical issues such as electricity, gas, water supply, education, the IT sector, and other civic concerns.
Responding to a question, he noted that development projects are under way across Sindh, including Karachi. He added that the provincial leadership had sought federal funding for Hyderabad’s development schemes, and the federal government has approved funds specifically for the reconstruction of roads in the city.
Governor further underscored the need to prioritise national, provincial, and city-level development efforts, stating that Pakistan’s prevailing economic challenges can only be overcome through collective resolve and unity. He said that despite limited resources, Pakistan has demonstrated resilience and strength in the face of formidable challenges.
Among those present on the occasion were Dr Farooq Sattar, Amin-ul-Haq, Sabir Qaimkhani, and others.
