ISLAMABAD: Huawei, a global leader in ICT solutions, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Pakistan’s digital transformation, positioning Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the center of the country’s economic and technological advancement.

As Pakistan enters a critical phase of digital evolution, AI is emerging as a key driver for economic growth, improved governance, and innovation across the ICT sector. With the government prioritising AI adoption in governance, industry, and education, initiatives are under way to establish Centers of Excellence, expand AI-focused curricula in universities, and equip professionals with advanced digital skills.

AI is expected to transform public services and major industries by enabling smarter healthcare systems, predictive analytics in agriculture, intelligent transport systems, and enhanced public sector efficiency. These national priorities closely align with Huawei’s long-term vision of accelerating digital progress through advanced technology solutions.

Huawei emphasised that it is not merely a hardware provider but a comprehensive solutions partner offering full-stack, end-to-end AI and ICT infrastructure. The company highlighted its ability to integrate platforms, services, and infrastructure while ensuring supply chain reliability and assured delivery — a factor it says differentiates it from fragmented market offerings.

The company has also shared a clear AI and ICT roadmap for Pakistan, signalling its sustained commitment to the country’s digital future.

Speaking to the media, Ahmed Bilal Masood, CEO of AI and Cloud Business at Huawei, said the company aims to empower Pakistan’s digital ecosystem beyond technology deployment.

“Huawei is committed to empowering Pakistan’s digital future. By bringing full-stack AI and ICT solutions, we aim not only to provide technology but also to build capacity, strengthen local ecosystems, and ensure that Pakistan is ready to compete globally in the era of intelligent transformation,” he stated.

With AI increasingly recognised as a cornerstone of national development strategies worldwide, Huawei’s expanded engagement signals growing collaboration between global technology leaders and Pakistan’s public and private sectors to accelerate the country’s digital transformation journey.
