KARACHI: Five factories were sealed in the Kemari district on Sunday for violating fire safety rules, these included two units of Sana Safinaz Factory, Coca-Cola Storage Warehouse, Rehman Tobacco Traders and C-Max Marine Factory.
Deputy Commissioner Kemari Ameer Fazal Owaisi submitted a report of the action to the Commissioner Karachi. The report states that a safety audit survey is underway in industrial establishments to ensure the implementation of fire safety rules. Five industrial units were sealed on Sunday for non-compliance with safety rules. He said that steps have been taken to strictly enforce the safety rules in industrial establishments, factories and commercial buildings in the district.
The Commissioner directed all DCs to ensure strict implementation of safety rules and to complete the fire safety audit survey as soon as possible.
